Finance Manager, Nigeria – Role Summary

The Finance Manager, Nigeria is SOLAPS’s most senior financial officer in-country — owning the full financial management function for SOLAPS Nigeria, including financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, Nigerian tax compliance, and oversight of the trade finance and import payment process. Reporting to the Nigeria Marketing Manager, this role is also a strategic partner to the leadership team, providing financial discipline, risk management, and data-driven insight that enables the business to scale confidently. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the annual budget process; maintain a rolling 12-month financial forecast; build scenario models for strategic decisions.
  • Cash Flow Management: Own the 13-week rolling cash flow forecast; manage Nigeria bank accounts and USD domiciliary accounts; ensure FX availability for China import payments.
  • Nigeria Tax Compliance: Manage all FIRS obligations — CIT, VAT, WHT, PAYE, pension (PenCom); ensure 100% on-time filing of all returns.
  • Trade Finance Oversight: Supervise the Compliance & LC Specialist on LC management, Form M, and CBN FX compliance for all China import transactions.
  • USA Coordination: Support intercompany transaction management and reporting coordination with the SOLAPS USA entity (in liaison with the USA finance team).

Expected Results/Outcomes:

  • Investor Confidence: Clean, IFRS-compliant financials that give USA-based investors accurate, confidence-inspiring data on Nigeria commercial performance.
